Toy Story 3

I’ve done it! I’ve officially finished all of my Pixar stitches with this Toy Story 3 stitch! (At least all of the movies that are already out! I’ll stitch Brave and Monsters University around their release dates!)

I’m so excited to have this finished!

Here’s a video clip related to the stitch!

Here’s a couple pictures of the stitch!

Granny Says…

Granny says that mixed media is great!

I’ve been very stressed out lately because of all the packing I have to do before I leave for Evansville in about two weeks. It would be a little less hectic if I wasn’t going on a camping trip in Malibu for five days right before I leave! I literally get back from the camping trip and three days later my mom and I will be on our way to Evansville, IN.

So how do I fix this stress? I make things. This thing in particular is made of fabric, frame, and bottle caps.

Bottle caps? Yes dear reader, bottle caps. I’ve had a love affair with SweetLeaf Tea&Lemonade since finals week. Their bottle caps have ‘Grannyisms’ on the underside and I think they are absolutely adorable! I just haven’t been able to throw them away. So I hoarded them in hopes that I would find a use for them some day. That day was today.

This was a very fun project that employed copious amounts of hot glue! Now I’ve just got to figure out what to do with it. Do I gift it to someone, keep it, sell it? If you have an opinion, please feel free to leave it in my comments!

I hope you enjoyed it!

Have a stress-free day! :)

Pixar’s Toy Story

I’ve finally gotten around to making an homage to the first Pixar movie ever to hit theaters, Toy Story!

The thing I’ve always associated this movie with, other than the remarkably memorable characters, is the scenery! Andy’s room was covered in cloud wallpaper, pizza planet was like a Chuck E. Cheese in space, and Sid’s room was remarkably creepy!

This is the cloud wallpaper that I modeled my cross stitch after!

Here is my cross stitch!

I really like how this one turned out!
I hope you enjoyed it!
Have a good day!
